- Info: Since we are an Internet-business company that focuses on the movie-making business, and since we own elcinema.com, the largest online movie & TV database in the Middle East. As such, our Content Editing team handles elcinema.com's News, Cinemas, Celebrities' Profiles, TV and Festivals' online media publishing.
- Gaining a hands-on experience in researching, writing and checking the images, text and other media published for film reviews, synopses, celebrities' biography and film festivals' coverage for elcinema.com audience.
- Translating various Arabic content on elcinema.com into the English language.
- Learning to Coordinate with Graphic Design, News and Social Media teams to develop an overall positive audience experience on our web site.
- Attending planning and commissioning meetings with other teams whenever needed.
- Participating in publishing of online media content Using Microsoft Office programs, especially MS-Excel, MS-Word.
- Shadowing professionals who regularly update existing content on the website, including videos and photo gallery.
- Participating in developing new content and editorial guidelines.
Your Qualifications:
- An interest in everything digital and a passion for the silver screen.
- Possessing an excellent command of English writing and editing skills along with very good Arabic comprehension ability.
- Preference to undergraduates of a university degree in Mass Communications, Journalism or another related field.
- A proficient user of MS-Excel, MS-Word. Preference given to ICDL holders.
- You will need an organised approach and creative ideas to come up with interesting ways to present information and appeal to the site's target audience.
- Your job would be office-based at a computer workstation. There could be some out-of-office work, for instance going out to research information, attend movie premiers or for festivals' coverage.
- A keen eye for detail, well-honed research skills and the ability to accurately create data tables and/or spreadsheets.
- An enthusiastic, outgoing attitude, a natural ability for interfacing with people, in all sorts of situations, and a team player.
- Maintain consistent coordination and clear communication with the content editors and across teams.
- The ability to prioritize tasks and deadlines and to work under pressure.
- Able to work extended hours on occasions to meet deadlines.
